Kate has been teaching my son how to play the piano for the past six months. Kate has a wonderful way with children and is both innovative and creative in how she approaches her lessons. My son loves going to his lessons at Kate’s studio which is a nurturing and creative space. More recently we have continued his musical journey with online lessons which continue to challenge and inspire him.
The lessons are well rounded and include attention to both music theory (taught in a fun and educational) and piano playing incorporating some traditional elements with contemporary, innovative new methods. One of the most unexpected things to come out of the lessons is that my husband and I both noticed an improvement in my son’s reading ability as well as his focus and attention at home. They say that music has a profound ability to affect development in children and I believe this to be true after what we have experienced. Thank you Kate for all you are doing for our son.
